People ask... Who is Southway? The "Southway" name came about as a representation of our location in the southern most region of Canada. We proudly display this name on the sides of our buses. Today, C.A. Bailey Ltd. / Southway operates 100 school buses, 4-24 passenger Micro Coaches, 1-14 passenger Executive Limo Coach, 1 Passenger Buick Lesabre, and the Leamington Transit Bus. Safety Children & SAFETY are our number 1 priority. C.A. Bailey Ltd. meets / exceeds all Safety requirements of both the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario and US Department of Transportation. Transportation Health & Safety Association of Ontario recognizes C.A. Bailey Limited with an "Achievement Award" for operating with an injury frequency and cost rate factor below the rate group average for three consecutive years (May 2005) Training All drivers are subject to an intense training course including on-road training as well as in-class sessions (Winter Driving, Defensive Driving, Bus Evacuations etc) C.A. Bailey Limited is a Recognized Authority under the MTO with Signing Authorities who train, evaluate and test each driver at our own facility. All C.A. Bailey Limited drivers are subject to routine evaluations, safety meetings, training seminars, and weekly safety reminders. Maintenance C.A. Bailey Limited employs their own full time mechanics All Buses are subject to Yearly Brake Inspections and 6 month Safeties as well as regular maintenance C.A.
